Why are there two different rates?
Payment processing costs vary based on where your customer's card was issued. European cards have lower processing costs than international cards. We pass these costs through transparently rather than charging everyone the higher rate.
How do I know which rate applies?
The rate is automatically determined by your customer's card. Most customers in Europe use EU-issued cards (2.9% + €0.45). International visitors typically have cards issued outside the EU (4.5% + €0.45). You don't need to do anything - we handle it automatically.
When do I get charged?
You're charged only when a customer completes a payment. The fee is deducted automatically from the transaction. There are no upfront costs, monthly fees, or hidden charges.
Can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely. There are no contracts or cancellation fees. You can stop using JoPay at any time without penalty.
How quickly do I receive my funds?
Funds are typically deposited to your bank account within 2-3 business days after the transaction is completed.
