How JoPay Works

Check In

When you arrive at the venue, open the JoPay app and check in. This can be done by either using geolocation (if you're physically at the place), or searching for the name of the venue inside the app.

No QR code is needed.

Open a Tab

Once checked in, you tap "Open Tab". JoPay creates a digital tab linked to your saved credit card. This tab stays open during the entire visit and tracks all charges in real time.

Invite Friends (Optional)

If you're with friends or colleagues, you can invite others to join the same tab directly from the app. Each participant will be able to view the shared tab, track the total in real time, and split the final payment automatically.

Consumption Happens Normally

There's no change in how the service works. The staff doesn't need to see the app or scan anything. They simply add individual items to the digital tab as your visit progresses.

You receive real-time updates in the app, seeing your tab grow as items are added.

Leave the Place

When you're done, you simply leave the venue. There's no need to call the waiter, ask for the bill, or go to the counter.

JoPay automatically detects that you left the location (using background geolocation) and proceeds to close the tab and charge the correct amount to your card.

Or tap to pay manually if you prefer control over timing.

That's It

The payment is processed instantly and you receive a confirmation notification. If there were multiple participants in the tab, the payment is split automatically based on their preferences.

The entire experience is seamless. No waiting. No talking about money. No friction. You just walk in, enjoy the moment, and walk out — JoPay takes care of the rest.
